Awesome news!!!! Sky Rover is this year winner of the Gene Day Award for Canadian self-published comic books, part of the Joe Shuster Awards 2017. The Joe Shuster Awards are comic book industry-oriented awards that recognize the achievements of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. I am so grateful for this recognition of my work. This was quite unhoped for.

I want to thank the Joe Shuster Awards organisers and juries for their time and dedication.

Congratulations all the winners of the other categories and nominees!!! It’s crazy to see how much great comics are made here in Canada.

Everyone, congratulations!!!

I have the immense pleasure to announce Sky Rover was chosen among the Jury Selection in the Manga category of the Japan Media Arts Festival. It was an extraordinary joy for me to be among the nominees, and an even greater one to be part of the selected works.

Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs since 1997. Awards are given in four categories: Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga.

This selection holds a lot of meaning for me, as many of my artist heros either got awarded or selected in this festival through the years.

This honor will forever strenghen my resolve to become a better, stronger and more prolific comic artist.

I want to thank the members of the jury for carefuly distilling the enormous amount of work submited again this year. They also wrote detailed critiques of their overall appreciation of the year’s submissions. From this unique vintage point, they generously share their insight with us. I strongly recommand reading those critiques to anyone interested in the current state of Animation, Manga, Entertainment and Art in general.

I want to congratulate every Award Winners and also all the other Jury Selection this year.

With this renewed resolve, I now go back to my drawing table!

Thank you for sharing this adventure with me. It feels as if it’s only the beginning of something much bigger. I hope to share with you more and more engaging stories. Please follow my Facebook and Twitter page if you don’t want to miss what is coming next!

Making Sky Rover was a big challenge for me to tell a story without any words, and the thing I didn’t realized at first became the brightest side of this whole story:

Every and each reader ends up reading a different story of their own, while looking at the same images. Because it’s through our own unique life experiences that we build meaning. Of course, when I wrote this story, I had something specific in mind, but now I think there is no wrong or right answers.

Please share those stories it with me!

I am planning a second story for Sky Rover, but it will be on hold for a time, while I work on another, longer project.

Please visit my homepage, nunumi.com, if you want to know more about my work other works and art! I will be filling this one until I launch Perfect Queen.

And lastly, please consider tipping in on my Patreon page. Every penny helps!

Thank you for the ride!

See you soon!

Dear readers! We are closing in to farewell time. Still another page and Sky Rover first story will be over. But in case you’d worry, this is not the end of me. Second project, Perfect Queen, is going well. I just started production and I am quite happy with how it’s looking so far. I am documenting my process in details over at my Patreon page, if you’d like to see more.

Perfect Queen’s webpage is not quite functional (and pretty) yet. Which means that once I finish publishing Sky Rover I am back to web design’s hell once again ;___; But it will be worth it. And I learned so much from building this first website too. I guess it won’t be as hard!!

Here is a little WIP of one of Perfect Queen’s panels (yes, more flying stuff….)

Hold on for Sky Rover’s last page, next week!!

Sorry for the little delay in publishing this page. These recent times are busy times! I started working more intensely on my next project and have been thumbnailing the first chapter (prologue). If everything goes as plan, this next project will start being publish second quarter of 2017. I want to build a comfy buffer before I start to publish. Better safe than sorry!!! ^^;

I you want to know more about my next project, I am publishing WIP and articles on my Patreon page. If you subscribe as Buddy Patrons, you will get access to early designs and page progression. I am publishing one post about Sky Rover and one about Perfect Queen a month, until I reach the net stretch goal.

I am barely back home from last week-end Comiccon in Quebec City. Thank you to everyone who visited! Your encouragement are very touching and it means a lot.

For those who got Sky Rover’s book at the Comiccon, you’ve already seen this page, but for my internet reader, we still have a few weeks before Sky Rover’s first story comes to an end.

The book will be on sale online once it is all published here. With a few bonuses and a sneak peek to my next project, only available in the book or via my Patreon subscription.

Again thank you!

Good news everyone! Sky Rover is going into prints! I will have a first print edition ready for Quebec City Comiccon an soon after available for online purchase. The folks who get their copy directly at Quebec City Comiccon also get to know the ending a bit ahead of the online version.

This also means Sky Rover first story is ending before Christmas. But don’t worry, this is not the end of it.
